Sixteen enthusiastic students accompanied me on my Travelrite International Art Workshop to Ireland from August 12th to 24th 2018. The cross section of students from Miami, Detroit, New Zealand and Australia made our en plein air days exciting, energetic and enthusiastic.

Beginning in Dublin we toured the city then painted Trinity College, followed by days out painting on the moors of the Wittlock Hills and the seaside towns of Honth and Kinsale.

Moving onto Cork we had some great painting days firstly at Blarney Castle and then in Cork itself painting streets and churches. We finished our trip in Killarney painting at Ross Castle, Muckross House and the bay of Dingle. Ireland is such a beautiful country filled with wonderful people and their culture.

The group went to Waterford Crystal factory and the Jameson Distillery – awesome! Evenings were spent eating together in the local pubs and listening to the addictive Irish music that was played everywhere and drinking Guinness –of course!

Please enjoy the following images of people, places and plein air paintings done in Ireland.
