Class Outline: This watercolor course is about learning how to paint ‘alla Prima, realist, impressionist, tonal watercolor’s. Amanda will give two demonstrations each day and then you will paint while she spends time helping each individual student with their work. At the end of the course you will be exhilarated having experienced a ‘no rules, only handyhints’  method to tackling watercolor in a fresh, loose and new exciting way. Her subject matter will include landscapes, seascapes, street scenes, still life, figurative work and en plein air work.

The Venue and Course: The workshop involves both studio and en plein painting in and around  a 15th century manor house set in the heart of Constable Country. Owners Jim & Wendy Sarton have been hosting hotel guests and residential art courses here for nearly 30 years. Accommodation, breakfast and evening meals included.
